Prescott, Arizona Massage School
Founded in 1996, ASIS is Northern Arizona’s oldest and most comprehensive massage therapy program. The Prescott, Arizona campus is located in beautiful and historic downtown Prescott, at Sharlot Hall’s Granite Creek Center.
This Arizona massage school is on the edge of Granite Creek, in downtown, where weekend festivities abound. Prescott is referred to as “Everybody’s Hometown” with its small town charm, historic County Courthouse, tree-lined plaza and surrounding shops and restaraunts. Prescott is a mile-high city with four mild seasons and a plethora of trails and outdoor opportunities. Within five miles in any direction, you can find yourself amidst pines, junipers, boulders, granite, cactus and the natural beauties of the high desert. Prescott is home to three colleges: Yavapai College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Prescott College www.prescott.edu. Students can dual register with ASIS Massage Education and Prescott College, for college credit.
You can find a diverse range of people in Prescott from students to professionals, children, cowboys, ranchers, artists, retirees, and outdoor enthusiasts. If you’re around in May, make sure to check out the Whiskey Row Marathon, one of the toughest marathons in the United States, put on by the local YMCA www.prescottymca.org/ If you happen to be here on the third weekend in June, make sure not to miss the annual Tsunami On the Square, a free, all-ages, outdoor performing arts and culture festival. Tsunami’s mission is to build community through the human tradition of live performance culture www.tsunamionthesquare.org.
Within a short drive one can experience elevations ranging from 1,200 feet to 12,000, and within walking distance one can enjoy Prescott’s unique blend of pioneer flavors, open air cafes and outdoor recreation. Neighboring towns include Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, and the Verde Valley. Within an hour and a half lie metropolitan Phoenix to the south, the Mogollon Rim to the east, and the Grand Canyon to the north. Mountain biking, climbing, and hiking are just a few of the activities to be enjoyed in this mile high city.
